Shop Drawings
Assembly and part drawings translating coordinated models into fabrication instructions.

What we do
Detail in every deliverable.
Shop drawings turn the approved steel model into buildable instructions for each assembly and individual part. We identify materials, cut lengths, hole patterns, weld locations, piece marks, and the views needed to remove ambiguity on the shop floor. Drawings are checked against connection requirements and the coordinated model before release for fabrication.
Typical deliverables
How it comes together
Methods, tools & applications.
Detailing techniques
- Prepare dimensioned assembly and single-part views with clear section cuts
- Identify bolt diameters, hole types, weld symbols, and edge distances
- Cross-check marks, quantities, and revision clouds against the model
Tools & equipment
Tekla-derived drawing sheets and CAD review tools; output can support saws, drill lines, plate processors, and welding stations used by the fabricator.
Typical applications
Beam and column assemblies, connection plates, bracing, and miscellaneous steel, with drawing conventions adapted to the fabricator's standards.
